IAAP

Our first committee is International Association of Applied Psychology!

The International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) focuses on the global challenges of mental health and well-being. The agenda item, "Quarantines' Adverse Effects on Society," explores the psychological and societal impacts of quarantine measures during health emergencies, such as pandemics.

Delegates will discuss how isolation, disrupted routines, and fear of illness can increase stress, anxiety, and depression, particularly in vulnerable groups like children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions.

The committee will examine strategies to mitigate these effects, emphasize psychological support, foster community resilience, and integrate mental health into public health responses. The goal is to develop practical, research-backed recommendations to balance public safety with individual and community well-being in future crises.

Agenda Item: Adressing Adverse Effects of Quarantines on People's Mental Well-being.
